Our Beliefs:

We are a United Methodist Church.

In the words of John Wesley (1703-1791)...

"A Methodist is...one who loves the Lord his God with all his heart, with all his soul, with all his mind, and with all his strength." In other words, we seek to live a full and genuine life that is devoted to God. Some basic beliefs for the United Methodist Church are:

We have a conviction that God has mercy and love for all people
We believe that scripture, reason, tradition and experience are all important elements in exploring what we believe
We believe in a three-in-one God--Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We have faith in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ
We celebrate the holy sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. Our Communion Table is open to all people.

In these and many other ways, Methodism affirms the unity of all Christians in the Body of Christ. United Methodists also believe in the "primacy of grace."" We believe that God, who is revealed through Jesus Christ, loves human beings and all creation. Grace is God's way of loving, accepting, forgiving, and blessing us.
