Serving others through Missions at Mountain View is essential for living out our faith. There are so many ways to serve!
Hunger Doesn't Take A Break
What happens to children who qualify for free and reduced lunches during the school breaks? Mountain View orders food boxes and delivers them to families over those breaks (Fall, Winter, and Spring Breaks).
Summer Lunch Program
What happens to children who qualify for free and reduced lunches during the Summer? Mountain View makes thousands of sandwiches and lunches and delivers them to these kids throughout the Summer. Community members and groups often join us in reaching this goal. Let us know if you would like to donate supplies, make lunches, or help deliver.
Must Ministries
We support MUST Ministries through Scouting for Food, clothing donations, Thanksgiving money for the food pantry and turkeys, and through the Give a Kid A Chance backpack program helping thousands of kids prepare for school.
MUST Ministries Donations
Please note we are ONLY accepting the following items for MUST Ministries:
Clean, seasonal clothing
Non-perishable and "in-date" food
Clean blankets and comforters
To better meet the needs of those in crisis we will NOT accept toys, electronics, home decor, or any broken items. Thank you for helping those in need here in our community.
Bethlehem Walk
Our biggest Mission for the last 25+ years. We love sharing the story of Jesus' birth with thousands every year. Visit the Bethlehem Walk page to learn more.
Christmas Angels Program
This is an annual ministry around Christmas to provide Christmas gifts or necessities for children and their families.
Angels in Action
A fellowship of women advancing the love of Christ through support of one another in service to our church and community. Our Mountain View Angels love to gather to work on special projects, to help the community, and to do outreach projects. Service projects include KSU C.A.R.E. (helping students at Kennesaw State dealing with homelessness or who may be struggling) and Women at Risk International. You will often find the Angels helping with all kinds of projects and meals around the church. The Angels meet the first Thursday of the month at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.
Haiti Mission Team
Mountain View has an ongoing team traveling to Haiti to help with medical, educational, and construction needs. Our team also helps with community outreach and putting on a Vacation Bible School (VBS). Please visit our Fellowship Hall to see the three pieces of art that represent some of those mission trips.
And so much more, including supporting church members going to other areas around the country and the world to serve; supporting troops overseas; supporting disaster relief efforts; supporting several state and national UMC mission campaigns; etc....
