Mountain View's Church Staff

Bill Burch, Pastor; Bill is an ordained elder of the United Methodist Church and came as Pastor to Mountain View in June, 2009. He and his wife Leah have two grown children, a dog named Happy, and other family living in the area. Bill is a native Georgian who grew up in the Methodist Church, and has studied and graduated from Young Harris College, the University of Georgia, and Candler School of Theology.

Bill answered God’s call into the ministry in 1990 while working as Youth Director at Villa Rica UMC. He has served churches in Carrollton, Atlanta, Cumming and Augusta, Georgia before coming to Cobb County. He is glad to be here at Mountain View, and to be part of what God is doing: That people will come to know Christ and to make him known to others!

Chrisy Marsilio, Church Office Manager; Chrisy and her husband Mike have been married for 24 years and have two children, Sarah and Michael. She and her family have a real passion for music and the arts.

She is actively involved at Hillside UMC on their praise team "Psalm 100" and also works weekly with X-Zone a middle school ministry. Her favorite bible verse is: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" – Phil 4:13. Chrisy currently serves as the Office Manager and works to coordinate the calendar, communications and facilities use in the church.

Kaela Cohen, Youth Director; Kaela was called into the ministry at age fourteen, and has been active in North Georgia Conference youth work. She worked at Camp Glisson for three summers, serving as a camp counselor, and she was also the 2008 Spiritual Life Retreat Intern.

Kaela graduated in May 2008 from Georgia State University, when she came to serve at Mountain View. She has a Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies and a minor in Film and Video Production. Kaela enjoys investing in the lives and spiritual development of the youth in Mountain View.

Michelle Nix, Bookkeeper; Michelle lives in nearby Woodstock with her husband Les, and has two sons, Connor and Reid. She came to Mountain View as the Financial Secretary in September 2008 and soon after assumed the full role of church bookkeeper. Michelle has a bachelors degree from Georgia Tech in Business Management with a minor in Accounting.

Michelle enjoys her work in managing the financial transactions of the church and working with the members of Mountain View. She serves on our Finance Committee and works with our annual stewardship campaign.

Myrna Dial, Preschool Director; Myrna and her husband Phil, have been active members of Mountain View for many years. Myrna is a seasoned business professional that assumed the lead role of preschool director in 2009. Myrna is actively involved in every area of the preschool's development, operation and growth plans. Myrna has been a blessing to our preschool.

Myrna is committed to creating and environment where each child has an equal opportunity to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually to their fullest potential. The feedback from parents about Myrna, her staff and the Christian preschool is consistently positive.

David & Susie Kyle, Church Maintenance; Susie and Dave have been married for 31 years and have four children, Beth Anne, D.J., Erin and Kelsey. They are long-time members of Mountain View and active in many ministries of the church. Dave and Susie keep our church in great shape and deserve everyone's appreciation for their hard work.

Both Susie and Dave are actively involved with the band programs at McClesky Middle School and Kell High School. Susie and David handle the care and maintenance of our church facility.
