Birthday Shop

Every child has a birthday and every child deserves a celebration. Our Birthday Shop makes this possible for children that otherwise may not know the joy of a birthday celebration, presents, or a birthday cake. After obtaining a voucher from MUST Ministry you may visit our birthday shop to select a gift, wrapping material, and cake mixes from our available selection.

The Birthday Shop at Mountain View UMC grew from our work with Cherokee County's MUST Ministry's Summer Lunch program, the need for a meaningful Vacation Bible School mission project, and the challenge from our Bishop to begin a new ministry serving those who live within five miles of our church. This ministry has been an overwhelming success!

We are able to reach out to our local community and touch many lives with kind gestures of giving. Various groups and individuals within our church have made commitments to supply the Birthday Shop with the basics for a child's Birthday Party however we welcome, from anyone, donations of new toys, gift wrapping materials, cake mixes, party decorations and financial contributions.
