Journey Classes

Joining a church is a bit like getting married: it's exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. That's why we've designed four introductory classes that can help you with the process.

CLASS 101 (Worship and Connect) - Discovering Church Membership (Mountain View
and You)

This class is the basic introduction to our church family. Since we have members from many
different church backgrounds, this class was designed to clearly explain who and what our
church is. It is a great way to plug-in and learn exactly what it means to be a part of the Mountain
View family. You will learn about the different areas of Mountain View and where you fit in.

CLASS 201 (Grow) - Discovering Spiritual Maturity

This class focuses on four basic habits of a disciple: time with God's word, prayer, tithing and
fellowship. A disciple follows God's Word, a disciple prays and bears fruit, a disciple is not
possessed by his possessions, and a disciple expresses love for other believers. You will learn
what it means to become a true disciple.

CLASS 301 (Serve) - Discovering My Ministry

This class helps you discover your own unique design for ministry in showing you how to
commit to developing and using your God-given gifts and abilities in serving God and others
through your church family. You will select and begin serving in the ministry of Mountain View
that best expresses (and this is the key) what God has made you to be.

CLASS 401 (Reach) - Discovering My Life Mission

This class focuses on God's global plan including reaching people from every nation with the
good news of Jesus. You'll get a picture of what God is doing throughout the world to bring His
people to Himself. You'll also find out how you can be part of His global plan. You will develop
a personal perspective of the Gospel and your personal story of how God has worked in your life.
You will also learn to build confidence in sharing your story.
