MORNING IN BETHLEHEM 2012
Thank you for attending Bethlehem Walk at Mountain View United Methodist Church recently. We hope you enjoyed your experience. We wanted to share with you some information about this ministry and our church.
Bethlehem Walk celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. We are regularly told that it has been a blessing to our community. It runs on four weekend nights the first two weekends of December. It also opens for area Preschools for a weekday morning presentation. We hope to see you again next year.

Our church gets a lot of help from others who would like to be part of Bethlehem Walk. If you would like to be on a mailing list for future opportunities to assist with this ministry, please let us know. Help is welcome in the areas of construction, take-down and also in the actual performances, both as cast members and as support. Or perhaps you would just like an email reminder next year a few weeks prior to the event.
We also welcome you to attend our Sunday Worship Service. Our Crossfire Contemporary Service begins at 9:30 AM in Fellowship Hall and our Faith Traditions Service begins at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary. Thanks again for visiting Bethlehem Walk on our 20th anniversary!
ABOUT BETHLEHEM WALK
Bethlehem Walk is a signature Christmas event that is free of charge and open to everyone. It is a walk-through experience that simulates the town of Bethlehem at the time of the birth of our savior Jesus Christ.
The purpose of Bethlehem Walk is to focus our community’s attention on Christ as the center of celebration during the Christmas season. We do that by re-creating the entire city of Bethlehem on our church grounds. The best description is that we have a nightly performance of a 2-acre interactive play where you can walk through the city’s streets and stop and talk with the potter or the baker. You can see the Roman soldiers open the city and watch the changing of the tower guards at the city gates. You can listen as the storyteller weaves tales of the heroes of old and sign the census to show you were there.
